Arboretum Žampach ( up to 7 km )

The Arboretum is located in the foothills of the Orlic Mountains at an altitude of 440 m above sea level directly below the castle hill with the ruins of the Žampach castle and is part of the castle parks in Žampach, which are a state-protected cultural monument. The information system of the arboretum includes, among other things, a sightseeing circuit, where basic information ( texts, pictures and photographs ) about a total of more than 100 tree generais available, whose representatives can be easily found on site. In total the arboretum and castle parks in Žampach include more than 550 species and varieties of woody plants. In the complex there is also a well-equipped and well kept game corner with attractions and seating for young and old, a playground, a garden pavilion and a hippodrome with a special platform and an information center with an outdoor terrace. The arboretum and castle parks in Žampach are open to the public all year round.
